Through the concept of social enterprise, Charcoal Lane aims to transform the lives of Aboriginal and disadvantaged young people by providing them with supported training and employment opportunities in a real work environment. Participants involved in the Charcoal Lane program are supported and encouraged to achieve their life goals through the power of education, training and working together as a team.
In partnership with the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service, William Angliss Institute and Apprenticeships Plus, Charcoal Lane offers an integrated program that includes personal skills development and accredited education in hospitality, with the aim of enabling a successful transition to sustainable mainstream employment.
